LNG carriers are the tank ships designed to carry Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) at a cryogenic temperature of −161°C. These carriers are equipped with efficient steam turbine-driven propulsion systems, which are propelled by dual fuel diesel electric propulsion systems.
